RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH NORTH PENINSULA NEIGHBORHOOD SERVICES CENTER FOR THE HOUSING REVITALIZATION PROGRAM AND TO AUTHORIZE THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY TO EXECUTE SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS AND MINOR MODIFICATIONS NOT TO EXCEED $25,000 PER FUNDING SOURCE

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 
 

WHEREAS, pursuant to Title 24 CFR of the Code §570.201 of Federal Regulations regarding the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program, funding assistance may be used to fund eligible activities to be carried out by private non-profit entities which are duly organized to undertake community development activities or by public agencies; and

 
 

WHEREAS, North Peninsula Neighborhood Services Center (“Contractor”) applied for funding assistance for operation of the housing revitalization program; and

 

WHEREAS, On May 4, 2004, the Board of Supervisors approved the CDBG/ESG funding for FY 2004-05, which included funding for Contractor’s housing revitalization program; and

 

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Agreement, to provide the Housing Revitalization Program - Countywide, for the period of 7/1/2004 to 6/30/2005, for a total obligation of $120,000.00; and

 

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance, an Agreement between the County of San Mateo and Contractor, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, and the Board of Supervisors has examined and approved the same as to form and content and desires to enter into the same.

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of the Human Services Agency shall be authorized to execute subsequent amendments and modifications to this Agreement during the term of the Agreement, provided however, that such authority is limited to (a) reducing or increasing the County’s maximum fiscal obligation in the event that there is a commensurate reduction or increase in funding received by the County, provided, however, that such increases shall be limited to a total of $25,000; and (b) making changes in the types of services and activities provided by Contractor, provided that the changes have no impact on the County’s maximum fiscal obligation to Contractor.
