RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY TO EXECUTE A FIFTEENTH AMENDMENT FOR THE MAINTENANCE OF THE WELFARE CASE DATA SYSTEM (WCDS) CONSORTIUM AND ELECTRONIC DATA SYSTEMS (EDS)

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 066099 authorizing the execution of the Fourteenth Amendment to the Agreement between the County of San Mateo, Santa Clara, San Diego, Sonoma, Tulare, Santa Cruz, Fresno, Solano, San Luis Obispo, Contra Costa, Placer, Alameda, Yolo, Orange, City and County of San Francisco, Santa Barbara, Sacramento, and EDS Federal Corporation, for the maintenance of the computerized Welfare Case Data System specifying the service hours and actual cost of $6,614,400 for FY 2003-04 to be jointly appropriated, with the San Mateo County share to be $389,082, and;

WHEREAS, it is necessary to further amend the Agreement to extend the term from June 30, 2004 to June 30, 2005 and commit funding for San Mateo County’s share in the amount of $389,082 for FY 2004-05 according to the same terms and conditions as the previously amended Agreement; and

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors wishes to authorize of the Director of the Human Services Agency to execute such Fifteenth Amendment.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be hereby authorized, to direct the Human Services Agency Director to execute the Fifteenth Amendment on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
