RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A FOURTH AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH JEFFERSON UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
|
|
WHEREAS, on October 17, 2000, the Board of Supervisors authorized the execution of an Agreement with the Jefferson Union High School District to provide a Comprehensive Year-Round Employment and Training Related Services program for Out-of-School youth who were eligible for services under the Workforce Investment Act (WIA); and
|
|
WHEREAS, the Agreement has been amended on three previous occasions to add "Pathways for Success for the In-School Youth", to increase the amount and service level for “Tools for Success for the Out-of-School Youth”, and extended the term of the Agreement; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo and the Jefferson Union High School District wish to further amend the Agreement to extend the term from October 1, 2000 through June 30, 2004 to October 1, 2000 to December 31, 2004 and, to provide additional funding in the amount of $91,000 for additional participants to both the Pathways for Success and Tools for Success Program during FY 2003-04 changing the Agreement obligation from $972,231 to $1,063,231; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for it consideration and acceptance a Fourth Amendment, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars; and

WHEREAS, such services will conform to all WIA requirements; and
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board has examined and approved this Fourth Amendment as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.
|
|
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Fourth Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest to the President’s signature thereto.
