Resolution Authorizing the Execution of a Grant Agreement with the California Department of Transportation for the Runway Resurfacing Project at the | |

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that | |
WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution No. 64822, accepting airport improvement grant No. 3-06-0097-06 from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to resurface the runway at Half Moon Bay Airport; and | |
WHEREAS, the California Department of Transportation, pursuant to Public Utilities Code Section 21683.1, may provide matching grants equal to five percent (5%) of the FAA’s grant (4.5% of total project costs); and | |
WHEREAS, as a condition of receiving these matching grant funds, the State requires a local agency to adopt a resolution authorizing the submittal of an application and the execution of a grant agreement for the acceptance of said grant funds; and | |
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that a grant application be made to the State which can be used to help finance the resurfacing of the runway at the Half Moon Bay Airport; and | |
WHEREAS, this Board has considered the recommendation of the Director of Public Works. | |
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that: | |

The President of this Board is authorized to execute a grant agreement with the State of California Department of Transportation on behalf of the County of San Mateo, if a grant is made available for the Runway Resurfacing Project at Half Moon Bay Airport (AIP Project No. 03-06-0097-06). |
2. |
The Director of Public Works is authorized to file an application for a grant and to execute any other necessary documents associated with the acceptance of grant funds from the California Department of Transportation for the aforesaid project. |
