RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A GRANT OFFER FROM THE FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION (FAA) FOR GRANT FUNDING FOR THE UNINCORPORATED COUNTRY CLUB PARK AREA NOISE INSULATION PROJECT WITHIN THE FOURTH QUARTER 1999 STATE 65 dB CNEL NOISE CONTOUR

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has determined that specified residences and a school within the 65 dB CNEL aircraft noise contour are eligible for federal assistance for noise mitigation measures; and

WHEREAS, the County has applied for federal grant funds to insulate the eligible structures within the unincorporated Country Club Park area; and

WHEREAS, the FAA has approved a Grant Offer of $2,151,400 for the County to insulate residences and a school within the 65 dB CNEL aircraft noise contour; and

WHEREAS, the County must formally accept the Grant Offer from the FAA to receive the allocated federal funds:

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute such acceptance for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
