First Amendment to the Agreement with Penske Truck Leasing
Recommendation
Approve a First Amendment to the Agreement with Penske Truck Leasing to increase the amount by $14,400 for a total obligation of $103,535. The term of the Agreement remains the same, December 1, 1999 through November 30, 2004.
Background
The Board of Supervisors approved the Agreement with Penske Truck Leasing on December 1, 1999 for the purpose of transporting production to and from Vocational Rehabilitation Services located in San Carlos.

Discussion
This First Amendment corrects the Agreement amount. The original Agreement was approved in the amount of $89,134.20 for leasing services. The payment schedule from the Agreement shows this amount for leasing, but also shows that there is a maintenance fee based on the cost of $0.0960 for a monthly average of 2,500 miles. This is an additional amount of $14,400. Due to this clerical error, the total amount of the original Agreement did not include the fees for maintenance of the vehicle and does not have enough funds to continue services through the term of the Agreement. Additionally, this First Amendment updates the non discrimination language in the Agreement. County Counsel has reviewed and approved this Amendment as to form.
