RESOLUTION APPROVING AGREEMENTS BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND THE TOWN OF WOODSIDE, MENLO PARK CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT, RAVENSWOOD CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT, CITY OF PACIFICA, CALIFORNIA STATTEWIDE COMMUNITIES DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY, SAN MATEO COUNTY MOSQUITO ABATEMENT DISTRICT, CITY OF HALF MOON BAY, CITY OF MILLBRAE, AND HALF MOON BAY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT FOR COLLECTION OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENT CHARGES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, state law authorizes the County to recover its collection costs when the County collects taxes, fees, or assessments; and

WHEREAS, as a service to the above-referenced cities and special districts, the County has developed a system to collect certain special assessment charges and special taxes through the countywide property tax bill; and

WHEREAS, each of the above-referenced cities and special districts have provided resolutions from their governing boards requesting the County to collect certain special assessment charges and special taxes through the countywide property tax bill;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED AND ORDERED that the County shall collect such special assessment charges and taxes pursuant to the Agreements For Collection of Special Assessment Charges that are hereby approved and the President of the Board is authorized and directed to execute the Agreements For Collection of Special Assessment Charges on behalf of the County, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest to the President’s signature thereto.
