RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING APPROVAL OF A PLAN FOR BUILDING THE KELLER WOMEN AND CHILDREN’S SERVICE AT SAN MATEO MEDICAL CENTER

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance a plan, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby San Mateo Medical Center will move forward in developing the Keller Women and Children’s Services; and.

WHEREAS, in June of 2003, the San Mateo Medical Center Board gave approval to move forward with the development of Women and Children’s Services. and

WHEREAS, San Mateo Medical Center is finalizing plans that will be submitted to the Office of Statewide Planning and Development (OSHPOD) in October of 2004; and

WHEREAS, there have been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance a plan, reference to which is made for further particulars, whereby the cost of the project’s 9.8 million dollars. Four million dollars will be funded through the Keller trust. An additional one million dollars will be funded through the Medical Center Foundation. An additional 4.8 millions dollars will be funded through a capital loan; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the plan and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to approve the plan:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to approve said plan for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signatures thereto.
