RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A SECOND AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH UNISYS CORPORATION (“CONTRACTOR”) FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH THE INSTALLATION OF A UNIVERSAL POWER SUPPLY BACK UP SYSTEM AND A SECOND AIR CONDITIONING UNIT FOR THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY’S DATA CENTER

 

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, on August 15, 2003, the Board of Supervisors approved an Agreement in the amount of $220,000, and waved the RFP process, for the term of August 15, 2003 to August 15, 2004, with Unisys Corporation to provide the Human Services Agency materials and workmanship for four (4) projects as follows: 1) Purchase and installation of an emergency diesel generator at the Harbor Campus; 2) Purchase and installation of air conditioning system at Huntington Avenue; 3) Electrical upgrade at Huntington Avenue; and 4) Design and installation of data/voice wiring at Quarry Road.

 

WHEREAS, on February 24, 2004, the Board of Supervisors, by Resolution Number 066514 authorized a First Amendment to the Agreement to increase the Agreement amount by $13,500, for a total obligation of $233,500 to furnish data and voice cable for the County location at 550 Quarry Road in San Carlos; and

 

WHEREAS, the parties now wish to further amend the Agreement to increase the amount by $44,202.40, for a total obligation of $277,702.40, and extend the term from August 15, 2004 to December 30, 2004, to provide professional services associated with the installation of a universal power supply back up system and a second air conditioning unit for the Human Services Agency’s Data Center; and

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Second Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
