Resolution Authorizing the Execution of a Freeway Agreement with the State of California Department of Transportation Relating to the Portion of State Routes 101 and 380 within the Unincorporated Area between the Northerly City Limits of Millbrae and the Southerly City Limits of South San Francisco (F-325 [1])

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the State of California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) and the County of San Mateo entered into a Freeway Agreement dated June 22, 1971, relating to the portion of State Routes 101 and 380 within the unincorporated area between the northerly city limits of Millbrae and the southerly city limits of South San Francisco; and

WHEREAS, State Routes 101 and 380 in the area covered by the existing Freeway Agreement, were subsequently modified to accommodate the new San Francisco International Airport Terminal configuration and the projected increase in airport passenger demand; and

WHEREAS, the modifications as described above also modified portions of San Bruno Avenue within the Caltrans right-of-way that is maintained by the County; and

WHEREAS, Caltrans has requested that the County acknowledge approval of the modifications to San Bruno Avenue by executing a new Freeway Agreement; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that a new Freeway Agreement with Caltrans be executed; and

WHEREAS, this Board has reviewed said new Freeway Agreement and has considered the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized to execute a new Freeway Agreement with Caltrans and the Clerk of this Board shall attest to the signature of the President thereto.
