BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH SOFTECH & ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR A FILENET CONTENT SERVICE SYSTEM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office of San Mateo County needs and desires to replace an existing and outmoded document imaging system in order to better ensure the safe long-term storage and retrieval of important criminal records; and

WHEREAS, the Sheriff’s Office and County Information Services Department have worked together to analyze requirements for said document imaging system; have established that the FileNet system currently utilized by the County is the best application for this purpose; and have identified the firm of Softech as best able to meet the Sheriff’s Office needs for installation of the new system and conversion of existing files into the new system; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby Softech & Associates, Inc. will install, configure, and customize a FileNet Content System for the Sheriff’s Office ; and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into the Agreement, with a one-year term, August 1, 2004 through July 31, 2005, for an amount not to exceed $110,570; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Agreement and has examined and approved same as to both form and content, and desires to enter into same:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED THAT: the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized to, execute the Agreement with Softech & Associates, Inc., for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board of Supervisors shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
