RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING SUBMISSION OF GRANT APPLICATION TO CALIFORNIA OFFICE OF EMERGENCY SERVICES FOR THE DISTRICT ATTORNEY PROGRAM FOR A VICTIM/WITNESS ASSISTANCE PROGRAM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County of San Mateo desires to maintain a project designated the San Mateo County Victim/Witness Assistance Program to be funded from funds made available through the California Victim/Witness Assistance Program administered by the California Office of Emergency Services (hereafter referred to as OES);

WHEREAS, it is agreed that the State of California and OES disclaim any responsibility for any liability, and that any liability arising out of the performance of this Grant Award Agreement, including civil court actions for damages, shall be the responsibility of the grant recipient and the authorizing agency;

WHEREAS, it is agreed that any grant funds received hereunder shall not be used to supplant expenditures controlled by this body;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the District Attorney of the County of San Mateo, on behalf of the Board of Supervisors, is authorized to submit this grant application to OES, and is authorized to execute the Grant Award Agreement including any extensions or amendments thereof which do not require commitment of County funds.
