RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A GRANT AND FOR THE EXECUTION OF A GRANT AGREEMENT FROM WALTER S. JOHNSON FOUNDATION

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Workforce Investment Board submitted a proposal to Walter S. Johnson Foundation to increase employment opportunities for disadvantage youth in San Mateo County; and

WHEREAS, the Walter S. Johnson Foundation has accepted the proposal and awarded the Workforce Investment Board $225,000 for the term of May 15, 2004 through February 28, 2006; and

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has been presented with a form of such a Grant and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to accept the grant.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to accept and execute said grant Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo; and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
