• Remove at least 31 acres of mature gorse from targeted priority habitats;
• Ensure effective control of resprouts and germinating seedlings using a diversity of treatments by no later than November 30, 2008;
• Coordinate project activities with the County and other stakeholder groups;
• Ensure effective treatment of generated slash and biomass;
• Ensure protection of park infrastructure (such as trails) during large scale restoration efforts;
• Work in coordination with Thomas Reid Associates to photo document the project, monitor changes in gorse cover, and record the survivorship of planted native species;
• Work in coordination with California Department of Foresty and Fire Protection, County fire Safe Crews, and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District for conducting any burn activities;
• Develop a maintenance program to control subsequent invasions;
• Work in compliance with pre-established mitigation measures;
• Conduct public education, including Bond Act sign fabrication and installation prior to project implementation, and on-site research;
• Establish a native plant demonstration area within the project area; and Produce reports and develop and manage GIS based database to facilitate ongoing invasive plant removal in the project area.
