FIRST AMENDMENT TO AGREEMENT NO. 85000-03-D028 WITH VOORHIS ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR PROBATION DEPARTMENT ASSISTANCE FOR THE SAN MATEO COUNTY

YOUTH SERVICES CENTER PROJECT

This Amendment to Agreement, made and entered into this ________ day of ______________, 2004, by and between the COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, a political subdivision of the State of California, hereinafter called the County, and Voorhis Associates, Inc., hereinafter called Contractor.

WITNESSETH

WHEREAS, On January 1, 2002, the parties hereto entered into Agreement No. 85000-03-D028 for Probation Department assistance for the San Mateo County Youth Services Center project in the amount of $69,669.00; and

WHEREAS, the Agreement was an estimate of services to be needed and required; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to increase the amount of the contract to include additional services for Program Statement and Staffing Plan development;

NOW THEREFORE, the County and Contractor agree to: Increase the maximum not-to-exceed total payment by $31,127.08 for additional services of Contractor from $69,669.00 to $100,796.08. Any additional work will require prior written authorization by the County. Travel costs and reimbursables are included in this Amendment.

In all other respects, the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
