Resolution Authorizing Installation of a Streetlight Pursuant to Section 19160 of the Streets and Highways Code – Menlo Park Highway Lighting District

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, acting as the governing Board of the Menlo Park Highway Lighting District, that

WHEREAS, there has been filed with the Clerk of this Board a valid petition signed by twenty (20) of the property owners within the Menlo Park Highway Lighting District, requesting the installation of one (1) additional street light on 6^th Avenue; and

WHEREAS, this Board has considered said petition; and

WHEREAS, this Board finds that the cost of the additional light is just and equitable and in the public interest:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED as follows:

1.

The installation of one (1) streetlight on 6^th Avenue, as petitioned for by the property owners, is hereby ordered pursuant to Section 19160 of the Streets and Highways Code.

2.

The cost of installation and maintenance of said streetlight shall be a charge upon the Menlo Park Highway Lighting District.

3.

That the Director of Public Works be authorized to notify Pacific Gas and Electric Company that all billings for the additional light within the Menlo Park Highway Lighting District be forwarded to the Department of Public Works for payment.
