Recommendation
|
Adopt an ordinance amending the salary ordinance and accept the report on the total number of positions in the County.
|
Summary
|
The salary ordinance changes herein represent:
• reclassifying four positions,
• adding one new position, and
• converting five unclassified positions to classified status.
These actions were approved for study by the County Manager's Office.

Fiscal Impact
|
The reclassification actions represent a monthly salary and benefits cost of $3132 or an annual cost of $37,584.

This is the upward reclassification of one existing Agenda Coordinator position to the classification of Agenda Administrator and the addition of one new position of the same classification. These positions provide detailed, complex and critical support to the Board of Supervisors, County Manager’s Office and all County Departments as well as the public, press and related bodies and organizations with respect to tracking and implementing the actions of the Board. The work requires additional support and the classification change and addition of the new position will provide that necessary support. This action represents a monthly salary and benefits cost of $7332 based on filling the positions at the top step in the range. This action increases the total number of authorized positions by one.
