RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AUTHORITY TO IMPLEMENT AN EMS FOR CHILDREN (EMSC) PROGRAM UPDATE AND EXPANSION PROGRAM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an amendment to the agreement with the California Emergency Medical Services Authority, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the State will provide $54,000 to Emergency Medical Services to implement an EMS for Children (EMSC) Program update and expansion program; and

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the Agreement to extend the term through February 28, 2005 while maintaining the amount of the agreement at $54,000; and

WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with a form of the Amendment and has examined and approved the Amendment as to both form and content and desires to enter into the amended Agreement;

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
