RESOLUTION

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, Resolution 065955 authorized the Office of Emergency Services to apply for a grant from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as administered through the State of California, Governor’s Office of Emergency Services; and

WHEREAS, funding continues to be made available through DHS for Homeland Security Grants; and

WHEREAS, in order to streamline the information flow between the Governor’s Office of Emergency Services and the Office of Emergency Services of San Mateo County, certain positions within the Sheriff’s Office should be designated official contacts for Homeland Security Grant programming.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors amends Resolution 065955 by designating the Sheriff of San Mateo County, the OES Operational Area Lieutenant, the OES Supervising District Coordinator, and the Sheriff’s Office Grants Administrator as official contacts to work with the Governor’s Office of Emergency Service on all current and future Homeland Security Grants, including but not limited to 2003 Parts I and II, 2004 and 2005 Homeland Security Grants.
