Resolution Authorizing the President of the Board to Execute a Grant Agreement with the Federal Aviation Administration, Dated April 12, 2005, for the San Carlos Airport - (AIP Project No. 3-06-0210-10, Contract No. DTFA08-05-C-31571)

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has offered the County a grant in the amount of $285,000 for the design of future safety and maintenance improvements at the San Carlos Airport including the installation of additional airport security fencing, rehabilitation of the airport access road and east side aircraft parking apron, and airport drainage improvements; and

WHEREAS, the FAA requires the County, as a condition of receiving these grant funds, to enter into an agreement which provides the conditions governing the use of said grant funds by the County; and

WHEREAS, this Board has reviewed said agreement and considered same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

1.

the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized to sign said agreement dated April 12, 2005, on behalf of the County of San Mateo; and

2.

the Clerk of the Board is hereby authorized and directed to attest to the signature of the President of this Board to said agreement.
