RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES AUTHORITY TO IMPLEMENT AN EMS FOR CHILDREN (EMSC) PROGRAM UPDATE AND EXPANSION PROGRAM EXTENDING THE TERM THROUGH DECEMBER 31, 2005, WITH NO CHANGE IN AMOUNT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on September 14, 2004, the Board of Supervisors by Resolution Number 066943 authorized an agreement in the amount of $75,000 for the term July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2005 to implement an EMS for Children (EMSC) program update and expansion program; and

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an amendment to the Agreement with the California Emergency Medical Services Authority to Implement an EMS for children (EMSC) Program Update and Expansion Program, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, and:

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Amendment to the Agreement, to extend the term of the Agreement through December 31, 2005 with no change in the amount, and;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the Amended Agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board be, and hereby authorized and directed to execute said Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
