Appropriation Transfer Request

Recommendation

Approve an Appropriation Transfer Request (ATR) transferring $3,000,000 from Operating Transfer In, $1,450,000 from Fixed Assets-Equipment and $1,400,000 from Operating Transfer Out-Capital Project to Operating transfer In, various Services and Supplies accounts, Capital Project expense and Automation Services-ISD in the Facility Projects, Capital Purchases and new Information Technology Projects budget.

This agreement contributes to this commitment and goal by tracking facility and information technology projects separately to enable SMMC to track the projects in relation to each department’s budget.

Background/Discussion

During the current fiscal year, organization unit #66708 was established to appropriate funding and track expenditures for capital equipment and project purchases at San Mateo Medical Center. It was then decided that facility and information technology projects be funded and tracked separately. This action transfers the previously approved capital expense budget to these units.

Fiscal Impact

This ATR transfers previously approved funding between organization units within the San Mateo Medical Center Financial Services Division. There is no change in Net County Cost.
