Resolution Authorizing the Clerk of the Board to Publish a Notice of the Board of Supervisor’s Intent to Enter into an Agreement to Transfer Property to the City of Redwood City in Conjunction with the Realignment of Winslow Street - County Government Center Area

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, this Board authorized execution of an agreement with the City of Redwood City (CITY) in 1995 which provided for the realignment of Winslow Street adjacent to the County Government Center; and

WHEREAS, said street realignment utilized real property owned in fee by the COUNTY and resulted in property no longer needed by the CITY for road purposes; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that properties be exchanged with the CITY in recognition of the use or lack thereof of property for road purposes, and

WHEREAS, Section 25365 of the California Government Code allows a board of supervisors of a county to exchange any interest in real property with another public agency subsequent to the publication in a local paper of general circulation of the board of supervisors’ intent to exchange said property; and

WHEREAS, this Board has considered the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that

The Clerk of this Board is hereby authorized and directed to publish a notice of this Board’s intent to exchange property with the City of Redwood City in conjunction with the realignment of Winslow Street adjacent to the County Government Center Complex attached hereto.

Said Notice, attached hereto, shall be published once in the Independent Newspaper Group, a newspaper of general circulation circulated in said County.
