RESOLUTION AMENDING THE 2005-2006 LEGISLATIVE SESSION PROGRAM TO INCLUDE TWO LEGISLATIVE PROPOSALS REGARDING STATE CHILDREN'S HEALTH INSURANCE (S-CHIP) ELIGIBILITY AND REGARDING PUBLIC NOTICE PROCESS FOR LOCATING PAROLE OFFICES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors adopted and approved the 2005-2006 Legislative Session Program for the County of San Mateo; and

 

WHEREAS, the Legislative Session Program is necessary to have successful and effective legislative representation; and

 

WHEREAS, the State Children's Health Insurance (S-CHIP) eligibility proposal would expand on existing mechanisms to allow counties to access more federal fund for children’s health insurance; and

 

WHEREAS, the Public Notice Process for Locating Parole Offices proposal would provide local governments additional opportunity to comment on issues of public safety; and

 

WHEREAS, the inclusion of Legislative Proposals regarding the State Children's Health Insurance (S-CHIP) eligibility and regarding public notice process for locating parole offices will further the County’s Commitments and Goals;

 

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors by the adoption of this resolution hereby amends the 2005-2006 Legislative Session Program to include legislative proposals regarding the State Children's Health Insurance (S-CHIP) eligibility and regarding public notice process for locating parole offices.
