RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A FIRST AMENDMENT WITH THE JOSEPH AND JOY VENOSA TRUST FOR THE USE OF OFFICE SPACE AT 1048 EL CAMINO REAL, SUITE C, REDWOOD CITY

(LEASE NO. 1237)

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, on January 25, 2000, the County of San Mateo and the Joseph and Joy N. Venosa Trust as authorized by Resolution No. 63354, entered into a Lease Agreement for the lease of an 850 square foot portion of the property at 1048 El Camino Real, Redwood City, California; and

 

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the Lease to extend the term through January 31, 2008 on the same terms and conditions contained in the Lease, which includes an increase of the current $1,512.00 monthly rent on February 1, 2005, and annually thereafter, in an amount equal to the proportionate annual increase in the Consumer Price Index; and

 

WHEREAS, the First Amendment grants to the County the right, at the County’s option, to extend the Lease for one additional one-year term, expiring January 31, 2009; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the First Lease Amendment and has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said First Lease Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest to the President’s signature thereto; and

IT IS FURTHER DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the County Manager or designee is hereby authorized to accept or execute on behalf of the County, any and all amendments, options, notices, consents, approvals, terminations and documents in connection with the Amendment, except as otherwise provided by applicable law, including the County’s Ordinance Code and Charter.
