BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION DECLARING UNCLAIMED MONIES IN THE COUNTY TREASURY PROPERTY OF THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO AND TRANSFERRING SAID UNCLAIMED MONIES TO THE COUNTY TREASURER AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATOR

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, there is currently on deposit with the County Treasurer, of the County of San Mateo, in a fund entitled “Unknown Heirs”, $49,705.87. This money was received from the Public Administrator’s Office and has remained unclaimed in the County Treasury for three years; and

 

WHEREAS, the County Treasurer has caused appropriate notice to be published in the form and manner provided by Government Code Sec. 50050 and 50051 in the San Mateo County Times, a newspaper of general circulation, in the County of San Mateo; and

 

WHEREAS, the unclaimed monies in the amount of $49,705.87 have become the property of the County of San Mateo and this Board of Supervisors desires, in accordance with state statute, to transfer said monies from the special fund in which it has been deposited to the County Treasurer and Public Administrator to be shared equally as unanticipated revenue;

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Board of Supervisors declare the unclaimed monies property of the County of San Mateo and transfer the unclaimed funds in equal amounts as unanticipated revenue to the Treasurer and Public Administrator.
