RESOLUTION DIRECTING THE DIRECTOR OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES AGENCY TO SERVE NOTICE OF AND TERMINATE THE AGREEMENTS WITH THE CITY OF REDWOOD CITY AND THE CITY OF BURLINGAME FOR FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that:

 

WHEREAS, on December 17, 1985, the Board of Supervisors approved Resolution #47611 authorizing an Agreement with Redwood City, and on June 29, 1993, the Board of Supervisors approved Resolution #57304 with the City of Burlingame for Fire Protection Services for unincorporated County areas; and

 

WHEREAS, since the effective date of the Fire Service Agreements, the parties have complied with the terms of the Fire Service Agreements and have not been in default of the Fire Service Agreements; and

 

WHEREAS, there exists in San Mateo County a Deployment Plan and Automatic Aid Agreements signed by the entire membership of the San Mateo County Fire Chiefs Association making the afore-mentioned Agreements unnecessary; and

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Director of the Environmental Services Agency is directed by the Board of Supervisors to serve notice to terminate said Agreements effective June 30, 2005, as provided for in the termination sections of the Agreements.
