Resolution Authorizing the Director of Public Works to Execute an Agreement with the Fire Safety Division of Siemens Building Technologies Inc., for Fire Alarm Testing and Maintenance Services at Various County Facilities

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California that

WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works conducted a Request for Proposals for Fire Alarm Testing and Maintenance Services at Various County Facilities; and

WHEREAS, all submitted proposals were reviewed by an evaluation committee comprised of facilities maintenance personnel and the County’s Safety Manager, all of whom are familiar with the various fire alarm systems in the County facilities; and

WHEREAS, the evaluation committee concluded that the proposal of Siemens Building Technologies best meets the needs of the County for said services and their estimated cost of services is lower than that of the other proposals; and

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that he be authorized to execute an agreement with Siemens Building Technologies Inc., and this Board has considered and concurs in the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the Director of Public Works is herby authorized to execute an agreement with Siemens Building Technologies Inc. for Fire Alarm Testing and Maintenance Services at various County Facilities.
