AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 7.44.010 AND REPEALING SECTIONS 7.44.020 THROUGH 7.44.180 OF THE SAN MATEO COUNTY ORDINANCE CODE FOR DISABLED PARKING

 

The Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, ordains as follows

 

SECTION 1. Section 7.44.010 of the San Mateo County Ordinance Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

 
 

Section 7.44.010 DISABLED PARKING ZONES

 

    It is unlawful for any person to park or leave standing any vehicle in a stall or space in an area designated in this Chapter 7.44 for disabled persons’ parking, if, immediately adjacent to and visible from such stall or space, there is posted a sign consisting of a profile view of a wheelchair with occupant in white with a blue background or the curb is painted blue with "disabled" stenciled in white upon the top surface unless the vehicle displays either one of the distinguishing license plates or a placard issued pursuant to Section 22511.55 of the California Vehicle Code.

   
 

    The Board of Supervisors shall, by Resolution, determine and declare disabled parking zone locations.

 

SECTION 2. Sections 7.44.020 through 7.44.180 are hereby repealed.

 

SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days from the passage date thereof.
