Resolution Continuing the Prohibition of Certain Traffic Movements in Order to Reduce Cut Through Traffic in the University Park Subdivision Area near the Sand Hill Road Corridor - West Menlo Park Area

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, this Board adopted Ordinance Number 04214 on May 11, 2004, which adopted Ordinance Code Sections 7.06.010 through 7.06.040 inclusive and Section 7.08.090, which restricted certain traffic movements in and around the University Park area in West Menlo Park to require motorists to use the arterial roads for their travel and reduce the traffic on residential streets; and

 

WHEREAS, Ordinance Number 04214 provided that the above referenced Code sections would cease to be in effect one year from the date of adoption of said Ordinance unless extended by resolution of this Board; and

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that the provisions of the Ordinance Code remain in effect for at least one more year; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has reviewed and concurs with the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

 

1.

The provisions of Ordinance Code Sections 7.06.010 through 7.06.040 inclusive and Section 7.08090 are hereby extended.

 

2.

The provisions of said Code sections shall be in effect for a period of one (1) year from the date of this Resolution unless extended or rescinded by the Board of Supervisors.
