THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS | ||||
RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING | ||||
ANNE TAYLOR | ||||
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * | ||||
WHEREAS, ANNE TAYLOR, in 1966, moved from Wales to the United States with her husband and three small children; and | ||||
WHEREAS, ANNE TAYLOR, in 1972, began her career as the Assistant Director of the Criminal Justice Council of San Mateo County; and | ||||
WHEREAS, ANNE TAYLOR, in 1975 was promoted to be the Director of the Criminal Justice Council where she managed millions of dollars in LEAA funds and created a range of law enforcement education programs and the Youth Service Bureaus; and | ||||
WHEREAS, ANNE TAYLOR, in 1982, was appointed by the Governor to become the Assistant Director of Community Resources Development Division at the California State Department of Corrections in Sacramento; and | ||||
WHEREAS, ANNE TAYLOR became the Chief Deputy Director of the California Department of Aging in 1984; and | ||||
WHEREAS, ANNE TAYLOR, in 1986, returned to San Mateo County to become the Director/Public Guardian for the Long Term Care Division in the San Mateo County Department of Health; and | ||||
WHEREAS, ANNE TAYLOR, in 1989, became the Executive Director of Filoli Center and began reaching out to families and children and expanding Filoli’s educational program;; and | ||||
WHEREAS, ANNE TAYLOR used her business and administrative expertise to transform Filoli into a strong volunteer and staff run organization and complete the retrofit the Mansion and the acquisition of a fitting antique collection | ||||
WHEREAS, ANNE TAYLOR has made a lasting contribution to Filoli and its visitors through leadership in raising millions of dollars for the successful construction of Filoli’s new Visitor and Education Center and the newly expanded café | ||||
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED that the San Mateo County Board of Supervisors commends ANNE TAYLOR for her leadership and dedication and extends its warmest wishes for her retirement to Monterey with her husband, Gene Morosoli, to enjoy their prized boat and 9 grandchildren. | ||||
