RESOLUTION
   

THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS
COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION HONORING AND COMMENDING

 

DR. MARTIN ADLER

* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

WHEREAS, on this 26th day of May, two thousand and five, DR. MARTIN ADLER is honored for his 29 years of service to the San Mateo Medical Center; and

   

WHEREAS, DR. MARTIN ADLER provided compassionate and quality medical care to his patients and rendered outstanding professional and dedicated service to the Pharmacy, Outpatient and Credential Committees of San Mateo Medical Center which he either headed as Chairman or actively participated as a member; and

   

WHEREAS, DR. MARTIN ADLER, throughout his tenure as a member of the Medical Executive Committee, expressed a vision and exhibited strong leadership that have given focus and stability to the San Mateo Medical Center over the past 29 years; and

   

WHEREAS, DR. MARTIN ADLER, who has demonstrated unwavering commitment to the treatment and control of diabetes, published several studies on its treatment and taught for over 28 years at Stanford University School of Medicine; and

   

WHEREAS, DR. MARTIN ADLER, through his commitment to and participation in the Diabetic Education Committee as well as his on-going tenure as Medical Advisor to the Patient Education Program of the San Mateo Medical Center, has significantly advanced the awareness of San Mateo County residents in the prevention and control of diabetes; and

   

WHEREAS, DR. MARTIN ADLER’s contributions and commitment to health care in San Mateo County have earned him the respect and admiration of medical practitioners, civic leaders and the community at large,

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of San Mateo County extends its sincere appreciation and gratitude to DR. MARTIN ADLER for 29 years of loyal and exemplary leadership in improving the health and lives of San Mateo County residents.
