FROM:

Richard Gordon

SUBJECT:

Adopt a resolution authorizing and directing the President of the Board to execute a Fee Collection and Disbursement Agreement between West Bay Sanitary District, the California Statewide Communities Development Authority, and the County of San Mateo for the Los Trancos Woods sewer extension.

RECOMMENDATION:

It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution authorizing and directing the President of the Board to execute a Fee Collection and Disbursement Agreement between West Bay Sanitary District, the California Statewide Communities Development Authority, and the County of San Mateo for the Los Trancos Woods sewer extension.

VISION ALIGNMENT:

Commitment: 7

Goal(s): Maintain and enhance the public safety of all residents and visitors.

BACKGROUND:

On May 3, 2005, the Board of Supervisors agreed to participate in the Statewide Community Infrastructure Program (SCIP). Participation in this program made it possible for the residents of Los Trancos Woods to take part in the bond issuance program for the funding of a sewer system.

On May 23, the West Bay Sanitary District voted 4-0 to approve the attached agreement. This agreement authorizes West Bay Sanitary District’s participation in the bond issuance, the method of distribution of collected funds, and funding for the construction of the sewer system.

The County has no responsibilities listed in the agreement. The County must sign the agreement because of its membership in the SCIP program only.

FISCAL IMPACT:

None.
