Background

Previous Board Action

Adopted Resolution No. 67297 on May 3, 2005, which adopted plans and specifications, determined prevailing wage scales and called for sealed proposals for the above-mentioned project.

A form of resolution has been approved by County Counsel.

Fiscal Impact

The total estimated cost of construction is $151,500 which includes a ten percent (10%) contingency (approximately $ 13,525) as the work is bid on a unit price basis (i.e., linear feet of Concrete Barrier Railing and Post installed, etc.). The contingency is used to pay the contractor for any additional material placed for the various bid items, as the quantities paid for are based on the field measured quantities actually used/installed in conjunction with the project.

Funds have been appropriated in the Road Fund to finance this work.

There is no impact to the General Fund.
