BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS, AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH DATA SYSTEMS GROUP “DSG” FOR SOFTWARE SUPPORT AND HARDWARE MAINTENANCE IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $204,351.28 AND GRANT SIGNATURE AUTHORITY TO THE CIO TO EXECUTE SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS AND MINOR MODIFICATIONS NOT TO EXCEED $25,000 AND TO MAKE MINOR CHANGES IN THE TYPES OF SERVICES PROVIDED UNDER THE AGREEMENT.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement between the County and Data Systems Group for software support and hardware maintenance in an amount not to exceed $ 204,351.28;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of an Agreement and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into same;

WHEREAS, this Board has been requested to grant signature authority to the CIO for modifications not to exceed $25,000 and to make minor changes in the types of services provided under the agreement;

WHEREAS, this Board has determined that it is in the best interest of the County to adopt this Resolution and waive the Request for Proposal process as the DSG insurance claims management system is currently interfacing with San Mateo Medical Center’s CORE system and to obtain a competitive bid to establish a new system interface would not be cost effective.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED

1) That this Resolution is adopted and the formal Request for Proposal process is waived; 2) That the Board of Supervisors grant signature authority to the CIO to execute subsequent amendments and minor modifications not to exceed $25,000; 3) That the President of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to execute said Agreement as is approved by the County Manager and the County Counsel for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
