RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A FIRST LEASE AMENDMENT WITH RAYMOND BARRI AND MELODI GHENO-BARRI AND GLENN AND ELIZABETH ROMIG EXTENDING THE TERM OF A LEASE FOR THE USE OF A PORTION OF THE BUILDING AT 1390 EL CAMINO REAL, SAN CARLOS, CALIFORNIA

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, on June 15, 2003, the County of San Mateo and Raymond Barri and Melodi Gheno-Barri and Glenn and Elizabeth Romig, as authorized by Resolution No. 66136, entered into a Lease Agreement for the lease of 4,000 square feet of office space at 1390 El Camino Real, San Carlos, California; and

 

WHEREAS, the parties wish to amend the Lease to extend the term through June 30, 2006 on the same terms and conditions contained in the Lease; and

 

WHEREAS, the First Lease Amendment further grants to the County the right, at the County’s option, to extend the Lease for up to two additional one-year terms; and

 

WHEREAS, the First Amendment establishes a monthly rent of $6,800, which rent shall remain in effect throughout the term of the lease and any option term; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the First Lease Amendment and has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into same.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said First Lease Amendment for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest to the President’s signature thereto; and

 

IT IS FURTHER DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the County Manager or designee is hereby authorized to accept or execute on behalf of the County, any and all amendments, options, notices, consents, approvals, terminations and documents in connection with the Amendment and the Lease, except as otherwise provided by applicable law, including the County’s Ordinance Code and Charter.
