Resolution Designating No Parking During Specified Hours Zones in Public Rights-Of-Ways

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the State of California Vehicle Code allows a local agency to establish no parking during specified hours zones in public rights-of-ways; and

 

WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works has recommended that there is a continuing need for no parking during specified hours zones that were previously considered by this Board and for new no parking during specified hours zones to provide for the orderly movement of traffic; and

 

WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors has reviewed and concurs with the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that:

No parking during specified hours zones are declared to exist at the following locations:

 
 

Ø

Arlington Way
On both sides of ARLINGTON WAY commencing at the intersection of RINGWOOD AVENUE and extending southeasterly a distance of 300 feet, more or less, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted.

     
 

Ø

Camino al Lago
On the southeasterly side of CAMINO AL LAGO commencing at a point 50 feet northeasterly of the intersection of ALAMEDA DE LAS PULGAS and extending northeasterly a distance of 112 feet, more or less, between the hours of 7:00 A.M. and 6:00 P.M., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted.

Dorado Way
On the easterly side of DORADO WAY commencing at a point 35 feet northerly of the intersection of ALTA VISTA DRIVE and extending northerly a distance of 335 feet, more or less, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted.

Edgewood Road
On the southeasterly side of Edgewood Road commencing at the southwesterly edge of southbound JUNIPERO SERRA FREEWAY (State Route 280) and extending southwesterly a distance of 480 feet, more or less, between the hours of 7:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M.

       
   

On the southeasterly side of Edgewood Road commencing at the northbound off ramp from the JUNIPERO SERRA FREEWAY (State Route 280) and extending northeasterly a distance of 370 feet, more or less, between the hours of 7:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M.

       
   

On the northwesterly side of Edgewood Road commencing at the southwesterly edge of southbound JUNIPERO SERRA FREEWAY (State Route 280) and extending southwesterly to the southbound off ramp from the JUNIPERO SERRA FREEWAY (State Route 280) a distance of 180 feet, more or less, between the hours of 7:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M.

Harbor Boulevard
Commercial and recreational vehicles may not park on HARBOR BOULEVARD between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Saturday, Sundays and holidays excepted.

       
   

A commercial vehicle for the purpose of this section shall be any commercial motor vehicle as defined by section 15210 of the California Vehicle Code as may be amended which, in general, means any vehicle that requires a Class A or Class B license, or a Class C license with an endorsement (double trailer, passenger transportation vehicle for 10 or more passengers, a tank vehicle or a vehicle carrying hazardous material required to display placards) in order to drive such vehicle.

       
   

A recreational vehicle for the purpose of this section shall mean any recreational vehicle as defined by section 18010 of the California Health and Safety Code as may be amended which, in general, means any motor home, travel trailer, camper or camping trailer with or without motive power, designed for human habitation for recreation, emergency or other occupancy which contains less than 320 square feet of internal living room area.

Industrial Way
Commercial and recreational vehicles may not park on INDUSTRIAL WAY between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Saturday, Sundays and holidays excepted.

       
   

A commercial vehicle for the purpose of this section shall be any commercial motor vehicle as defined by section 15210 of the California Vehicle Code as may be amended which, in general, means any vehicle that requires a Class A or Class B license, or a Class C license with an endorsement (double trailer, passenger transportation vehicle for 10 or more passengers, a tank vehicle or a vehicle carrying hazardous material required to display placards) in order to drive such vehicle.

On both sides of MENLO OAKS DRIVE commencing at the intersection of ARLINGTON WAY and extending northeasterly a distance of 190 feet, more or less, between the hours of 8:00 A.M. and 5:00 P.M., Saturdays, Sundays and holidays excepted.

Pigeon Point Road
On both sides of PIGEON POINT ROAD commencing at the northerly intersection of PIGEON POINT ROAD and CABRILLO HIGHWAY, State Route No. 1, and extending southwesterly a distance of 3,500 feet, more or less, between the hours of 7:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M.

       
 

Ø

Scenic Drive
Within the paved area on the northeasterly side of SCENIC DRIVE between the hours of 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. during school days.

   

2.

Said no parking during specified hours zones shall remain in effect until rescinded by the Board of Supervisors.
