RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH
DAVID JEGGE, M.D. TO PROVIDE GENERAL, THORACIC, AND VASCULAR SURGERY SERVICES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on April 22nd, 2003 the Board of Supervisors, by Resolution 65953, authorized an Agreement in the amount of $3,200,400 for the term June 1, 2002 through June 30, 2005 to the Regents of the University of California for the purpose of providing General, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery services to the San Mateo Medical Center; and

WHEREAS The contract with the Regents of the University of California expires on June 30, 2005 and the San Mateo Medical Center’s has a continued need for General, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery services, and

WHEREAS, San Mateo Medical Center now wishes to enter into an Agreement with David Jegge, M.D. to provide General, Thoracic, and Vascular services for the period July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2007 for a total obligation of $2,299,044; and

WHEREAS there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement, reference to which is hereby made, whereby David Jegge, M.D. shall continue to provide General, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery services; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the Agreement:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signatures thereto.
