RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, THE CITY OF HALF MOON BAY, AND THE COASTSIDE COUNTY WATER DISTRICT FOR THE CONVERSION OF TWO PRIORITY WATER CONNECTIONS TO NON-PRIORITY USE FOR THE PURPOSES OF REPLACING FAILED WATER WELLS LOCATED IN THE CITY OF HALF MOON BAY

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, San Mateo County (“County”), the City of Half Moon Bay (“City”) and the Coastside County Water District (“District”) recognize that failed water wells on residential properties present public health and safety concerns within their jurisdictions; and

WHEREAS, the County, the City, and the District wish to enter into an agreement to allow two priority connections that are reserved for residential properties with failed wells in the unincorporated area to be used for two residential parcels in Half Moon Bay with failed water wells under certain terms and conditions; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such agreement and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into such contract.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby, authorized and directed to execute said agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, the Clerk of this Board shall attest to the President’s signature hereto, and the County Manager, or his designee, is directed to process all necessary documents to complete the recordation.
