RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT FOR YOUTH SERVICES WITH OPPORTUNITIES INDUSTRIALIZATION CENTER-WEST (OICW)

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, in 2004 a Request for Proposal (RFP) was conduct for Youth Services and OICW (the “Contractor”) was chosen to provide training, internship and employment services as a result of the RFP;

WHEREAS, the County and Contractor wish to enter into an Agreement to provide Specialized Youth Services for the term of March 1, 2005 through June 30, 2005, and generalized Comprehensive Year-Round Youth Services for the term of April 1, 2005 through June 30, 2006. The maximum aggregate amount to be paid to the Contractor pursuant to the Agreement shall be $631,000; and

WHEREAS, such services will conform to all WIA requirements; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of such Agreement and said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into the same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo; and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
