RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF A THIRD AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT WITH SAMTRANS TO CORRECT THE AMOUNT AND FISCAL PORTION OF THE AGREEMENT

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County and the Contractor entered into an Agreement on July 1, 2002 for the purpose of providing residential shuttle services to East Palo Alto low-income individuals and families where there was no existing service, and to encourage the use of public transit; and

WHEREAS, the Agreement has been extended on two previous occasions to increase the amount of the Agreement totaling $118,010 and to extend the term to June 30, 2005; and

WHEREAS, the parties wish to further Amend the Agreement to correct the amount and fiscal portion of the Agreement due to clerical errors in the Second Amendment by increasing the amount by $61,990 and changing the Agreement obligation from $118,010 to $180,000. The term of the Agreement shall remain from July 1, 2002 to June 30, 2005; and

WHEREAS, the Board has been presented with this Third Amendment and desires to enter into same.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Third Amendment to the Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo; and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signature thereto.
