RESOLUTION

1)TO APPROVE THE OFFICE OF CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION (OCAP) NOTICE OF INTENT FOR THE HUMAN SERVICES AGENCY (HSA) TO ADMINISTER THE CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION, INTERVENTION, AND TREATMENT PROGRAM (CAPIT), COMMUNITY-BASED CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION (CBCAP) AND PROMOTING SAFE AND STABLE FAMILIES (PSSF) PROGRAMS FOR FYS 2005-08 .

2) TO APPROVE THE CHILDREN’S COLLABORATIVE ACTION TEAM’S (CCAT) REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR DISTRIBUTION OF FUNDS FOR CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION SERVICES FOR THE TERM JULY 1, 2005 THROUGH JUNE 30, 2008.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

 

WHEREAS, the County Board of Supervisors may designate the Human Services Agency to administer the combined Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment Program (CAPIT), Community-Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP) and Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) programs for FYs 2005-08 by signing the Office of Child Abuse Prevention’s Notice of Intent; and

 

WHEREAS, CCAT has recommended that the San Mateo County Human Services Agency enter into Agreements with six private non-profit agencies selected through a competitive RFP process to provide child abuse prevention services.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors is authorized to execute the Office of Child Abuse Prevention (OCAP) Notice of Intent for the Human Services Agency (HSA) to administer the Child Abuse Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment Program (CAPIT), Community-Based Child Abuse Prevention (CBCAP) and Promoting Safe and Stable Families (PSSF) programs for FYs 2005-08; and the Board hereby approves the Children’s Collaborative Action Team’s (CCAT) Request for Proposal recommendations for distribution of funds for Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention Services for the term July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2008.
