RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF AN AGREEMENT WITH
CALIFORNIA EMERGENCY PHYSICIANS FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, on February 4, 2003 the Board of Supervisors, by Resolution 65821, authorized an Agreement in the amount of $4,405,512 for the term January 1, 2003 through December 31, 2004 for the purpose of providing emergency medical services to the San Mateo Medical Center; and

WHEREAS San Mateo Medical Center’s has a continued need for emergency medical services, and

WHEREAS, both parties now wish to enter into an Agreement to provide emergency medical services for the period January 1, 2005 through December 31, 2005 for a total obligation of $2,553,316; and

WHEREAS there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement, reference to which is hereby made, whereby California Emergency Physicians shall continue to provide emergency medical services; and

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with a form of the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the amendment:

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of this Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said Agreement for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President's signatures thereto.
