BOARD OF SUPERVISORS, COUNTY OF SAN MATEO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA

RESOLUTION WAIVING THE REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL PROCESS, AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF THREE CONSULTING AGREEMENTS RELATED TO THE MAINFRAME ELIMINATION PROJECT, AND GRANTING SIGNATURE AUTHORITY TO THE CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER TO EXECUTE SUBSEQUENT AMENDMENTS AND MINOR MODIFICATIONS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $25,000.

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement with Marian Repp to provide consulting services for the term July 26, 2005 to August 31, 2007 for a total obligation of $293,540 and;

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement with BCE Software Inc. to provide consulting services for the term July 26, 2005 to August 31, 2007 for a total obligation of $321,620 and;

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance an Agreement with TTY Systems Inc. to provide consulting services for the term July 26, 2005 to August 31, 2007 for a total obligation of $321,620 and;

WHEREAS, it has been determined that its in the best interest of the County to waive the Request for Proposal process based upon the contractors’ extensive experience with CJIS and their expertise working with the County in a CJIS environment and;

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with three agreements for consulting services, said Board has examined and approved same as to both form and content and desires to enter into same;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED

1) The Request For Proposal process is waived; 2) Signature authority is granted to Chief Information Officer to execute subsequent amendments and minor modifications in an amount not to exceed $25,000; 3) It is hereby authorized that the President of the Board of Supervisors is authorized and directed to execute said Agreements as are approved by the County Counsel for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of this Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
