RESOLUTION APPROVING THE ACCEPTANCE OF DONATIONS IN THE AMOUNT OF $141,485 AND IN-KIND GIFTS IN THE AMOUNT OF $265,700 FROM THE SAN MATEO COUNTY PARKS AND RECREATION FOUNDATION

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the San Mateo County Parks Foundation (Foundation) has raised $141,485 in donations for the Environmental Services Agency Parks and Recreation Division’s Volunteer Program, landscaping at Coyote Point Park, Wunderlich Bridge Replacement Project, Public Works costs for the development of an Edgewood Interpretive Center, Serpentine Restoration mowing at Edgewood Park and Preserve, and Captain’s House renovation and a promenade repair engineering study for Coyote Point Park;

WHEREAS, the Foundation has made in-kind gifts in the amount of $265,700 for Edgewood Serpentine Restoration butterfly monitoring services, various costs related to the design, development and construction of an Interpretive Center at Edgewood Park and Preserve, and development of a concept plan for an interpretive center at Fitzgerald Marine Reserve;

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the

San Mateo County Board of Supervisors by adoption of this resolution hereby approves the acceptance of the San Mateo County Parks and Recreation Foundation donations in the amount of $141,485 and in-kind gifts of $265,700.
