RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXECUTION OF ENGINEERING AGREEMENT WITH

CONCEPT MARINE ASSOCIATES, INC. TO PROVIDE ENGINEERING SERVICES FOR THE COYOTE POINT MARINA 2006 DREDGING

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors of County is authorized to engage the services of professional technical experts on a temporary basis for specific projects;

WHEREAS, the public interest and general welfare will be served by selecting and utilizing engineering consultants for engineering marina dredging services as deemed necessary by the County;

WHEREAS, the firm of Concept Marine Associates, Inc. is a civil engineering firm qualified to perform engineering services on the marina dredging project;

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board a form of agreement that provides for the retention of this engineering firm to perform engineering services and this Board has reviewed and considered said agreement.

NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, that the President of the Board of Supervisors be, and is hereby authorized and directed to execute said agreement in the amount of $122,000.00 on and in behalf of San Mateo County and the Clerk of the Board shall attest to the Presidents’ signature thereto.

IT IS HEREBY FURTHER RESOLVED THAT, the Director of Environmental Services be given the authority to extend the term of said agreement by one year if required, on the condition that said amendment will not increase the County of San Mateo’s maximum fiscal obligation by more than $25,000.00. Total not-to-exceed amount is $147,000.00.
