A County employee since 1998, Stormy wears many hats, two of which serve the entire County. The first of these 2 hats is the countywide email post office administrator for all post-office-to-post-office email exchange. In this role Stormy manages the exchange of over 20,000 pieces of email daily between County department post offices as well as managing the County's Internet email gateway, which has an average daily volume of over 25,000 pieces of email.
The 2nd hat is the County's IT Security Officer. Stormy develops IT security policies for the County and responds to computer virus threats and "hacking" attempts.
Stormy was nominated by Chief Information Officer Chris Flatmoe and Belle Sierra, the Information Technology Manager for Employee and Public Services. Chris applauds Stormy for being “always professional, always approachable and has a reputation throughout the County for doing whatever it takes to get the job done and for providing reliable, accurate information.” Belle commends Stormy for “responding promptly to any trouble reports and for remaining professional, calm and approachable even when the going is tough.”
