RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PRESIDENT OF THE BOARD TO

EXECUTE AMENDMENT A01 TO THE AGREEMENT WITH THE CALIFORNIA DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES DECREASING FUNDING FOR THE HIV PREVENTION SECTION OF THE AGREEMENT BY $42,152, FOR A NEW TOTAL CONTRACT AMOUNT OF $4,144,018 WITH NO CHANGE TO THE TERM

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, there has been presented to this Board of Supervisors for its consideration and acceptance Amendment A01 to the Agreement with the California Department of Health Services, reference to which is hereby made for further particulars, whereby the San Mateo County AIDS Program will provide HIV prevention and education; and

WHEREAS, the term of the Agreement remains July 1, 2004 through June 30, 2007, and the amount of the Agreement shall be reduced by $42,152 from the Education & Prevention section of the Agreement, for a new total obligation of $4,144,018.

WHEREAS, this Board has been presented with the Amendment to the Agreement and has examined and approved it as to both form and content and desires to enter into the Agreement.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that Amendment A01 to the Agreement with the California Department of Health Services is hereby approved, and the President of this Board of Supervisors is hereby authorized and directed to execute the aforesaid Amendment to the Agreement as approved by the County Manager and County Counsel for and on behalf of the County of San Mateo, and the Clerk of the Board shall attest the President’s signature thereto.
