Resolution Authorizing Execution of an Agreement with Coast Intelligen, Inc. for the Maintenance of the Cogeneration Equipment at Maguire Correctional Facility – Redwood City Area (Project No. P8W02)

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board of Supervisors, on June 8, 2004, adopted Resolution No. 66717, which resolution authorized execution of a contract to construct a cogeneration plant at Maguire Correctional Facility, and
|
|
WHEREAS, the installation of the cogeneration plant qualifies for a one-time incentive of $300,000 from the California Public Utilities Commission program that is administered by the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (Self-Generation Incentive Program); and
|
|
WHEREAS, a condition of receiving the $300,000 incentive is that the cogeneration equipment must be maintained and warranted for a period of three years; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the cogeneration equipment has been installed at the Maguire Correction Facility; and
|
|
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works recommends execution of an agreement with Coast Intelligen, Inc., to provide said maintenance and warranty; and
|
|
WHEREAS, this Board has considered and concurs in the recommendation of the Director of Public Works.

|
NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED AND ORDERED that the President of the Board is hereby authorized to execute an agreement with Coast Intelligen, Inc. for the maintenance and warranty of the cogeneration equipment at Maguire Correctional Facility for three years.
