Resolution Authorizing the Director of Public Works to Execute an Agreement with HJW Geospatial Inc (HJW), to Provide Aerial Photography of the Entire County to be Used in Conjunction with the County’s Geographic Information System (GIS)

RESOLVED, by the Board of Supervisors of the County of San Mateo, State of California, that

WHEREAS, the County uses GIS to create, maintain and view address-based data; and

WHEREAS, the GIS system currently utilizes photography that is more than ten years old and the procurement of updated aerial photography was identified as a priority by the Countywide GIS Steering Committee; and

WHEREAS, a Request for Proposal process for the procurement of updated aerial photography was conducted in accordance with Administrative Memorandum
B-21 and the Director of Public Works and Countywide GIS Steering Committee recommend HJW be selected to provide said services; and

WHEREAS, this Board has considered and concurs with the Director’s and Steering Committee’s recommendation.

NOW THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY DETERMINED that the Director of Public Works is authorized to execute an agreement with HJW to provide aerial photography of the County in an amount not to exceed Three Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Dollars and 00/100 ($355,000.00).
